  • Details & Features

    The GIB-SP series from BAUER KOMPRESSOREN combines a screw compressor and high-pressure booster in a compact system for maximum free air delivery and extreme loads in continuous operation. Thanks to multi-stage compression and targeted water cooling, compression and operating temperatures remain low, extending the service life of the system and minimising maintenance requirements. The water-cooled design enables reliable operation even under the most difficult environmental conditions, while the standard equipment with soft start and B-CONTROL III ensures maximum efficiency and ease of use. GIB-SP compressors are particularly suitable for heavy-duty industrial applications.

    B-CONTROL III

    The B-CONTROL III is the premium control system for complex applications. Its 7-inch touchscreen display provides a user-friendly visualization of all operating data. Features such as a data logger, USB interface, Remote HMI, and protocols including OPC UA, Modbus, and CAN bus are integrated. The control system supports up to four compressors in a network and can be expanded flexibly.

    System design

    The BAUER GIB SP series is a compact, integrated unit combining a screw compressor and a high-pressure booster. Both modules are driven by a single motor. Unlike conventional systems with separate components, this integrated solution requires only one control system and one motor. With three or five compressor stages and efficient water cooling, it ensures low compression and operating temperatures – all within a minimal footprint.

    Compressor block

    The BK 23 to BK 52 block series feature a specially engineered crankcase design that ensures even distribution of internal gas forces. Precision manufacturing with tight tolerances and minimal clearance delivers outstanding energy efficiency. Plasma-nitrided cylinders, chrome-plated piston rings, and finely honed surfaces minimize friction and contribute to extended service life. The integrated oil pan, flanged beneath the crankcase, reduces oil consumption and enables installation at angles of up to 30° in any direction.

    Options

    Monitoring of intermediate pressures and intermediate stage temperatures

    This monitoring system is ideal for continuous or fully automatic operation, as well as for systems without constant specialist supervision. If defined limit values are exceeded or undershot, an automatic shutdown is triggered. The current actual values are displayed in the B-CONTROL compressor control system.

    Intermediate pressure gauge

    Analog pressure gauges are installed at appropriate points of the compressor system and allow for easy monitoring of operating pressures. They support diagnostics and simplify maintenance work on the system.

    Vorschmierpumpe

    Nach längeren Stillstandszeiten erfolgt die automatische Vorschmierung der Gleitlager. Die Ansteuerung dieser Funktion übernimmt die B-CONTROL Steuerung.

    Condensate collection system 60 l

    The large condensate collection system centrally collects the condensate generated during compression. An integrated float switch reliably monitors the fill level. The silencer and filter unit reduce noise and prevent unpleasant odors in the working environment.

    Plate heat exchanger set

    The plate heat exchanger enables the creation of a separate, closed cooling water circuit for the compressor. This is especially important in open cooling systems that use river water, seawater, or open cooling towers. By isolating the compressor from the primary cooling source, the system ensures a consistently high and reliable cooling water quality for compressor operation.

    Heat exchanger set

    The set includes an air-water heat exchanger that allows water-cooled compressor units to operate independently of an on-site water supply.
