  • Details & Features

The coalescing and activated carbon filters in the PX series from BAUER KOMPRESSOREN have been developed for the reliable removal of particles, oil droplets and aerosols from compressed air and gases. They are suitable for a wide range of applications with air, nitrogen, helium, argon and other technical gases.

Depending on the filter type and combination, PX filters achieve purity classes in accordance with ISO 8573 up to class 1 – ideal for the highest air or gas quality requirements. The robust filter vessels made of solid steel are designed for use under static and dynamic conditions and impress with their durability, safety and performance.

    Filter vessel

PX filter vessels feature a robust solid steel construction and are ideal for static and dynamic applications with inert gases. Flexible solutions are available for other gases. Thoughtfully equipped with connections for gas inlet and outlet, condensate drain, differential pressure gauge and wall bracket, they offer maximum functionality and easy integration. The vessels comply with the DGRL 2014/68/EU directive.

    Filter elements

The right solution for every requirement: Our filter elements are available in several versions with different separation degrees and can be flexibly adapted to your application. Depending on the desired air or gas quality, several filter stages can be combined or combined with a P-filter or SECCANT purification system. For maximum purity in oil removal and particle removal, our filters achieve purity classes up to Class 1 according to ISO 8573-1:2010.

    Options

    Automatic condensate drain

In applications with high air or gas humidity, automatic condensate drainage ensures that PX filters function reliably at all times. The system automatically removes the condensate from the filter housing at fixed intervals and discharges it into an external container. The automatic condensate drain is recommended for filter housings with P, M and F filter elements.

When integrated into a BAUER compressor or purification system, the PX filter housings can be connected directly to the extended automatic condensate system.

    Differential pressure gauge

The PX coalescing filter can be equipped with a differential pressure gauge to monitor the filter status. It shows the pressure loss across the filter element and signals when replacement is required. A switch contact can be integrated as an option, which transmits a warning signal to the control system when a defined limit value is reached – ideal for automated operation.

    Manual condensate drain

For applications with very dry gases and minimal condensate formation, drainage can be achieved via an integrated ball valve – a practical solution for manually removing condensate from the filter housing.

    Wall bracket

A specially designed wall bracket is available for the PX filter series for safe and space-saving installation. The bracket allows the filter housing and all attachments to be easily and securely mounted directly on the wall. This not only makes the installation clear and easy to service, but also reduces the load on the piping.
