The English subsidiary emerged from the oil and gas specialist Safety Air Services (SAS), which was acquired in 1995.

Until 1995, BAUER was represented in the oil and gas sector by SAS in England, a specialist company that worked with all well-known exploration companies. After the takeover, Bauer successfully established itself in the market under the name BAUER KOMPRESSOREN UK Ltd. (BUK) and continued to expand it.
