P-filter systems

Treatment systems for many gases in the pressure range 90 to 550 bar

Depending on the cartridge selected, BAUER KOMPRESSOREN P filter systems reliably adsorb residual moisture, oil vapour, hydrocarbon-based gas traces and carbon monoxide from the compressed air.
  • Flow rate up to 3,500 l/min
  • Pressure range 90 – 550 bar

  • Details & Features

BAUER KOMPRESSOREN P filters are high-pressure cartridge filter systems that are proven worldwide for the treatment of air and gases such as nitrogen, helium and argon. As classics among BAUER treatment systems, they stand for reliability, durability and economical operation. Thanks to the quick cartridge replacement, downtimes can be reduced to a minimum.

The filter systems are available in three pressure ranges and various sizes and can be optimally matched to the compressor performance and application. Depending on the cartridge used, humidity (H₂O), oil, carbon monoxide (CO) and particles are efficiently removed or converted – for the highest air and gas quality.

Pressure-maintaining check valve for consistent filtration quality

The P filter systems are equipped with a pressure-maintaining check valve that reliably maintains the minimum pressure in the filter vessel. This prevents excessive volume flow and keeps the flow speed in the container constant. This ensures optimum contact time between the gas and the treatment material right from the start.

The valve also reduces pressure fluctuations in the system and increases the permissible number of load changes. The result: greater operational reliability and a longer service life for the filter system.

Operational safety thanks to integrated safety borehole

BAUER KOMPRESSOREN filter vessels are equipped with an integrated safety borehole that prevents operation without a filter cartridge inserted. This ensures that no untreated gas enters the downstream process – effective protection against contamination due to accidental malfunction.

    Options

    B-SECURUS filter monitoring

The B-SECURUS system monitors the saturation of the filter cartridge(s) by measuring the moisture level in the molecular sieve and provides a timely indication when a cartridge replacement is required – either on the display or via the control unit. Once saturation is reached, the system automatically shuts down the unit. The B-SECURUS filter monitoring system can only be used in conjunction with the P 41, P 61, or P 81 filter systems, as well as the external BAUER filter systems.

    Automatic condensate drain

The automatic condensate drain ensures controlled and regular drainage of condensate. It is particularly recommended for installations with P-filter systems where condensate ingress into the filter system cannot be ruled out. Typical causes for this are insufficient condensate separation at the compressor or post-condensation in longer piping.

    Gas-tight design

Many treatment systems from BAUER KOMPRESSOREN are also available in gas-tight versions. This variant enables loss-free treatment – ideal for the economical handling of cost-intensive or sensitive gases.

    CO conversion

For air treatment, the toxic carbon monoxide (CO) present in the air is converted into carbon dioxide (CO₂). Due to the low CO content, the CO₂ concentration increases only slightly.

Depending on the air treatment system, the CO conversion takes place either in a filter vessel together with oil removal or in a separate filter vessel. The “CO conversion” option is only available in combination with the “oil removal” option.
