B-KOOL

Refrigerant dryer for significantly extending filter cartridge capacity up to 550 bar

The BAUER refrigeration dryer B-KOOL removes the majority of moisture from the compressed air before it even reaches the filter system. As a result, the service life of the filter cartridge is significantly extended.
  • Operating pressure up to 350 bar or 550 bar
  • Flow rate up to 700 l/min
  • Can be integrated directly on top of PE-VE, MINI-VERTICUS, and VERTICUS units – or available as a standalone version

  • Details & Features

The BAUER refrigeration dryer B-KOOL III significantly reduces filter cartridge consumption by efficiently pre-drying the compressed air – ideal for hot environments and continuous operation. As the air is cooled, the majority of the moisture condenses and is discharged via an automatic condensate drain before the air enters the filter system. This saves filter cartridges, reduces operating costs, and increases system reliability – for breathing air in accordance with DIN EN 12021.

How the B-KOOL refrigeration dryer works:

    1. Moistured air is routed from the compressor’s final separator into the B-KOOL.
    2. The cooling unit lowers the air temperature → condensate forms.
    3. Condensate is collected in the internal separator.
    4. The automatic condensate drain discharges the condensate.
    5. The cooled, pre-dried air is fed into the filter system.
    6. B-KOOL CONTROL monitors the refrigeration system and controls the condensate drain.

    Potential Savings
