    The B-DETECTION PLUS i and s online gas measurement systems continuously monitor the breathing air quality in accordance with DIN EN 12021:2014. CO, CO₂, O₂, and optionally humidity and residual oil (VOC¹) are reliably measured – either directly in the cylinder or in the intake air. If threshold values are exceeded, the system issues an automatic warning or shuts down the compressor. With reduced calibration effort, a new CO ping test, and shorter response times, this next-generation solution sets new standards in safety and efficiency. Both variants are B-CLOUD ready – ensuring full real-time transparency.

     
    • LEGAL COMPLIANCE: If any threshold value is exceeded, the compressor – when configured accordingly – shuts down automatically. Additionally, a sensor life check is performed before every startup. This ensures that only clean air ever enters your breathing air cylinders. All measurement values can be logged via the B-CONTROL MICRO and exported as an Excel file via SD card – giving you maximum legal peace of mind.
    • PLUG AND PLAY: Integrated at the factory or available as a stand-alone retrofit version. The fully equipped B-DETECTION AIRBOX contains all necessary accessories in one housing, making retrofitting quick and easy – even for existing systems.
    • SERVICE-FRIENDLY: On the integrated B-DETECTION PLUS i, a service port for quick system testing is located behind the front panel. A single movement opens the panel, allowing test gas to be applied directly.

    ¹ Measurement of humidity and residual oil (VOCs) is optional. Residual oil is measured based on volatile hydrocarbons (VOCs). Sensor calibration is based on isobutene.

    Options

    Humidification section

    Electrochemical sensors (CO and O₂) require a specific gas quality in terms of humidity, pressure, and temperature to ensure optimal function and long service life. With particularly dry air, such as that from the compressor, sensor lifetime may decrease significantly if they cannot regenerate regularly. BAUER therefore recommends the use of the humidification section when operating B-DETECTION in continuous mode (runtime > 1 hour) to ensure maximum sensor lifetime.

    Dew point monitoring

    The venting device enables automatic purging of compressor systems by discharging compressed air into the environment. The automatic purge valve can optionally be integrated into the B-DETECTION AIRBOX. If gas measurement limit values are exceeded during start-up or operation, compressor shutdown is initially suppressed by B-DETECTION PLUS and the air is vented to the environment via a bypass valve with silencer for a defined period. If air quality does not improve after this time, the compressor is then shut down. Particularly recommended for fully automatic system operation.

    Ambient air pump

    The venting device enables automatic purging of compressor systems by discharging compressed air into the environment. The automatic purge valve can optionally be integrated into the B-DETECTION AIRBOX. If gas measurement limit values are exceeded during start-up or operation, compressor shutdown is initially suppressed by B-DETECTION PLUS and the air is vented to the environment via a bypass valve with silencer for a defined period.
