1996 – Expansion in the USA and Asia
The global success is reflected in the figures:
20,000 compressors have already been sold in the USA alone.
BAUER continues to expand and establishes two new companies:
- BAUER COMPRESSORS Florida (USA)
- BAUER COMPRESSORS Asia Pte. Ltd. in Singapore
Goal: to strengthen customer service and market presence in North America and Southeast Asia
1997 – Certified quality
The BAUER KOMPRESSOREN GmbH factory is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:1994 for the first time.
- A milestone for quality assurance and process stability
- Confirmation of high standards by independent testing organisations
1998 – ROTORCOMP moves to Geretsried
The subsidiary ROTORCOMP moves into a modern industrial hall in Geretsried, about 30 km south of Munich.
- Optimal manufacturing conditions for growing production volumes
1999 – New performance class: medium-pressure boosters
ROTORCOMP presents the MK 80 booster at the Hannover Industrial Fair:
- Compression of 10 m³/min of air to up to 40 bar
- Focus on industrial applications in the medium-pressure range
2000 – New development centre in Germering
ROTORCOMP opens a state-of-the-art development centre in Munich/Germering:
- Sales, engineering and testing under one roof
- New ‘Technical Competence Centre’
- Integrated training and test bench technology
- Positioning as a solution provider for the compressed air industry
The BAUER Group achieves global sales of over 100 million euros (unconsolidated) for the first time
2001 – Revolution in compressed air treatment
ROTORCOMP GmbH achieves a real breakthrough with a new filter system:
- Oil-water condensate is treated so effectively that ...
- in the end, only clean water of drinking water quality remains
- At the same time, the air meets the requirements of DIN EN 8573-1 / Class 1 (oil content)
An important contribution to environmental protection and sustainability
2002 – Production offensive & new markets
Foundation of UNICCOMP
After only one year of construction, UNICCOMP opens in Geretsried:
- Responsible for block and component production
- Supplies the Munich plant and ROTORCOMP
BAUER goes East
Foundation of BAUER KOMPRESSOREN China Ltd. in Hong Kong – to serve the market in China, Hong Kong and Macao.
2004 – Presence in the Middle East
The expansion continues:
- Foundation of BAUER KOMPRESSOREN GCC FZE in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Focus: Sales & service of BAUER systems throughout the Middle East
