• Initial focus: firefighting technology & industrial compressors 
• From 1991: Development of own compressor systems for plastics processing 

In the world of racing, every second counts – especially during pit stops. 

That is why numerous racing teams around the world rely on BAUER high-pressure technology: 

• 50-litre cylinders with 200 bar compressed air 
• Supply of pneumatic tools in the pit lane 
• Now an integral part of Formula 1, DTM and endurance racing 

With the founding of BAUER COMPRESSORI s.r.l. in Vicenza, Italy, BAUER strengthens its presence in Southern Europe – especially for industrial applications and mobile compressor solutions. 

New companies in Liverpool, Vienna & Frankfurt 

• Foundation of BAUER ENGINEERING near Frankfurt am Main – as a subsidiary of BAUER COMPRESSEURS France 
• Takeover of SAS in Liverpool (UK) 
• Foundation of BAUER POSEIDON in Vienna (AT) 

Nitrogen is used in plastics production for gas injection technology (GIT) – for: 

• lighter plastic parts 
• precise hollow bodies 
• less waste 

BAUER supplies high-performance N2 compressor systems for 24/7 operation 

BAUER has been manufacturing compressor blocks for natural gas (CNG) since 1980. 

A milestone followed in 1995: 

• First complete BAUER CNG filling station in Germany, installed at BMW in Dingolfing 
• Contribution to decarbonisation and reduction of exhaust emissions 

The next generation of airbags relies on compressed air instead of pyrotechnics: 

• BAUER compressors fill high-pressure cartridges
