The B-VIRUS FREE protective filter ensures clean breathing air, even in contaminated environments. A powerful UV-C unit reliably inactivates viruses, bacteria, and mold spores in the air drawn in by the compressor – without ozone generation and without the use of chemicals. The UV radiation destroys the genetic material of pathogens, preventing their reproduction. Ideal for use in firefighting, disaster response, medical compressed air, or diving. Easy retrofitting into existing BAUER systems is, of course, possible.
System Details & Features
Connection
The B-VIRUS FREE protective filter is ready for use in no time. It only needs to be mounted on a wall or unit and connected to a 220/230 V (optional: 110 V) power supply. After just a few seconds of warm-up, it is fully operational.
Intake filter
Fresh air is drawn in through the intake filter opening by the compressor’s vacuum. The intake filter already removes normal dust particles and even pollen from the air.
Radiation source
The special UV light source eliminates pathogens by breaking molecular bonds using high-energy UVC radiation. This destroys DNA in bacteria and fungi, and RNA in viruses, preventing reproduction.
Control and display
For monitoring and controlling the UV special light source, the unit has a control box that provides visual information via LEDs and audible signals via a buzzer about the operating status.
Connection to compressor
The B-VIRUS FREE protective filter is connected upstream of the first compressor stage with a specially sealed intake hose to eliminate potential leaks between the filter and the compressor block, thereby preventing recontamination.
