JOB DESCRIPTION 

Industrial electricians are specialists in the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment in industry. 

They work on switchgear and control systems, in energy supply or in production and manufacturing technology. They carry out their work according to technical documents, circuit diagrams and instructions, always in compliance with the applicable safety regulations. 

Industrial electricians often work in teams, coordinate their work with other departments and are qualified electricians in accordance with accident prevention regulations. 

REQUIREMENTS 

• Interest in electronics, technology and industrial systems 
• Manual dexterity and precision in your work 
• Logical thinking and enjoyment of problem solving 
• Interest in computers, control systems and automation technology 
• Good secondary school leaving certificate or intermediate school leaving certificate 

TRAINING CONTENT

• Assemble and install electrical equipment 
• Test and measure electrical quantities 
• Construct switchgear and control systems 
• Perform functional tests and safety measurements 
• Commission systems and document work results 
• Maintain and repair electrical systems 
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLC) 
• Read and interpret circuit diagrams
