Marianne and Rudolf Seifert live a special life: freedom, adventure, and traveling to distant countries has been their everyday lives for decades. First as operators of a diving base in the Mediterranean and the Middle East, then around the world in a Landcruiser in 4 years. Now it's that time again! They're heading to Southeast Asia and this time the focus is on diving. On board the expedition vehicle is a JUNIOR II, which provides the necessary breathing air. Giving up your home, selling your own house, converting an expedition vehicle and driving around the world in it - that alone takes a lot of courage! But to do this like Marianne and Rudolf at the ages of 75 and 79 really demands the utmost respect and admiration! However, it is not their first tour of this kind.
20 years ago they already undertook a trip around the world in a Landcruiser converted into a living space. This time the trip will initially take them to Southeast Asia. A fixed route? There is no such thing at the moment, nor is there a time limit! New on this trip: a diving compressor on board the former fire department Unimog, which has been specially converted in expedition style. The rear box serves as storage space for two complete sets of diving equipment. In the 1970s, Rudolf managed the Royal Jordanian Diving Center, under the patronage of King Hussein, on the Gulf of Aqaba/Jordan. The diving grounds there are an El Dorado for underwater photographers and aquarists and are known for their diverse flora and fauna.
Because of his good experiences with the CAPITANO breathing air compressor used there, he has once again opted for a model from BAUER. The upcoming adventure tour requires the highest level of reliability from all the equipment. For reasons of mobility and size, he has chosen a JUNIOR II this time. The portable classic from BAUER KOMPRESSOREN may already be ten years old as a used device, but thanks to its robustness, it is still a real "youngtimer". Purely for safety reasons, it received another small "freshening up" in the form of a major service at the BAUER Customer Support Center. Its petrol engine will give the couple complete indepen-
dence in the future. Compact as it is, it fits perfectly into a side compartment of the vehicle that is accessible from the outside, immediately ready to fill bottles for a spontaneous dive in the most beautiful areas on the route, wherever the two globetrotters happen to be.
