  • Details & Features

The MARINER II-D is a powerful mobile breathing air compressor with diesel drive, operating independently of the power grid. This series is ideal for professional use under the most demanding conditions — whether for diving, fire services, or offshore operations. The compressors feature a robust steel protective frame, convenient carrying options, and reliable filtration systems (P21 / P31 / P41) for safe, clean breathing air. Corrosion-resistant components and proven lubrication ensure long service life and trouble-free operation. Optional features such as B-SECURUS or automatic condensate drain with CE-compliant control provide added convenience and safety.

    Compressor block

Our compressor blocks are based on decades of experience and development. An efficient air cooling system with large coolers and finned cylinders ensures optimal cooling. Robust industrial roller bearings, pressure lubrication, and fine oil filters minimize wear. Dynamically balanced drive units ensure smooth operation and long maintenance intervals.

    P 21 Purification system

The integrated P 21 Purification system with oil and water separator as well as pressure-retaining non-return valve ensures reliable breathing air in accordance with DIN EN 12021¹ when using original BAUER filter cartridges. A type-tested, sealed final pressure safety valve ensures maximum operational safety. The processable air volume is 140 m³.

¹ Applies when properly maintained and installed, and if CO₂ limits in accordance with the standard are not exceeded.

    P 31 Purification system

The P 31 Purification system with integrated oil and water separator as well as a pressure-retaining non-return valve ensures reliable breathing air purification in accordance with DIN EN 12021¹ when used in combination with original BAUER filter cartridges. A type-tested, sealed final pressure safety valve ensures an especially high level of operational safety. The processable air volume is 600 m³.

¹ Applies when the system is properly maintained and installed in accordance with the operating manual, and provided that the CO₂ concentration in the intake air does not exceed the limits defined in the applicable breathing air standard.

    Diesel engine

The standard Hatz diesel engine ensures reliable, low-maintenance performance with low operating costs.

    Motor rocker with belt tensioner

Thanks to the integrated motor rocker with belt tensioner, no retightening of the V-belt is required anymore.

    Filling device

The filling device consists of a flexible "UNIMAM" high-pressure filling hose and a filling valve with a final pressure gauge. The gauge allows easy reading of the filling pressure and is reliably protected against damage by a robust rubber coating.

    Filling hose

The high-quality UNIMAM high-pressure filling hoses are made of food-grade, durable material and provide maximum flexibility during handling. Swiveling hose connections allow for quick, easy, and safe connection of the filling valve to the breathing air cylinder.

    Options

    P 41 Purification system

The P 41 Purification system with additional oil and water separator as well as pressure-retaining non-return valve ensures reliable breathing air in accordance with DIN EN 12021:2014¹ when using original BAUER filter cartridges. A type-tested, sealed final pressure safety valve ensures high operational safety. The processable air volume is 1,550 m³.

¹ Applies with proper maintenance, installation according to the operating manual, and when using the BAUER B-AEROGUARD if the CO₂ concentration exceeds the standard limits.

    B-TIMER filter cartridge monitoring

The unique B-TIMER minicomputer displays the operating hours and the current filter cartridge saturation in real time. A prominent blinking signal indicates when a cartridge change is due – including the corresponding order number. This ensures the filter capacity can always be used optimally.

    B-SECURUS filter monitoring

The B-SECURUS system monitors the saturation of the filter cartridge(s) by measuring the moisture level in the molecular sieve and provides a timely indication when a cartridge replacement is required – either on the display or via the control unit. Once saturation is reached, the system automatically shuts down the unit. The B-SECURUS filter monitoring system can only be used in conjunction with the P 41, P 61, or P 81 Purification systems, as well as the external BAUER Purification systems.

    Changeover device PN 300/200 bar

The PN 300/200 bar changeover device allows filling of cylinders with different operating pressures.

    Trolley set

The trolley set enables easy and effortless transport of mobile compressor units. Equipped with pneumatic wheels, it ensures maximum mobility.

    Intake telescope

The intake telescope allows relocating the intake area of compressor units to a place with clean ambient air. It is especially recommended where the installation site has elevated concentrations of pollutants such as CO or CO₂.

Additional filling device PN 200 or PN 300 bar

An existing filling connection can optionally be expanded by one or more additional connections with filling hoses of variable length.

    Compressor control

The electronic control with monitoring electronics automatically shuts down the compressor at final pressure, records operating hours and oil pressure, displays the current status, and shows the battery charge directly on the control box.

    B-DRAIN automatic condensate drain

The B-DRAIN condensate drain automatically discharges the water-oil mixture from the intermediate and final separators. Solenoid valves control the discharge individually and reliably. The gentle, controlled condensate release reduces pressure losses, saves energy, and increases efficiency. Compared to conventional solutions, B-DRAIN operates significantly more quietly.
