Compressor Control
Electronic Compressor Control
- Power switch with motor protection
- Air contactor
- Pressure switches automatically degage the compressor once a certain pressure is reached
Programmable Compressor Control (EPROM-based)
BAUER's B-CONTROL monitors and regulates unit parameters. For your protection and that of your equipment, the B-CONTROL stops the compressor if these values go beyond a preset range and then displays a detailed error message.
| Ambient temperature: |
+ 5 °C to + 45 °C |
| Electrical supply: |
3 × 400 V (± 5%), 50 Hz |
| Control voltage: |
24 V, 50 Hz |
| Protection: |
IP 54 |
- Power section consisting of:
- Star-delta contacter with protection against power surges (for motors with a power rating of 4 kW and above)
- Power relay with protection against power surges (for motors with a power rating of 4 kW and above)
- Control transformer with primary and secondary fuses
- Emergency power switch
- Electronic control consisting of chipset, EPROM and interface (integrated in the unit's electric box)
- Control panel with touchpad, operating hour counter and illuminated liquid crystal display for information on unit status, required servicing and potential errors
- Parameters monitored by the control unit:
- Final pressure
- Oil pressure
- Temperature of the final stage's cylinder head
- Temperature of cooling air (for super silent units only)
- Power override of the electric motor
- Emergency power-off button
- Setting for the drain interval for the automatic condensate valve
- Cycle counter to determine when the final separator will have to be replaced
- Auxiliary relays and terminals
- The temperature and pressure sensors are mounted on the compressor block.
Optional Components:
Extended B-CONTROL compressor control
Extension of the electronic compressor control "B-CONTROL basic" with microprocessor and interface for interconnected operation of up to 4 compressor units.
Standard scope of supply of horizontal range (option for VERTICUS) with additional monitoring of the following parameters:
- intermediate pressure after all compressor stages
- temperatures after all stages
The compressor will switch off automatically if the admissible values are exceeded. The control panel displays the source of fault.
The B-CONTROL is completely wired in the control box.
Programmable Compressor Control (explosion-proof) for the C-Range
BAUER's B-CONTROL unit sets and controls numerous compressor parameters.
The compressor will switch off automatically if these maximum and minimum values are reached. The control panel displays and logs an error message.
| Ambient temperature: |

| Control voltage: |
24 V AC at 50 Hz and 24 V DC |
| Protection: |
IP 55 |
Installation:
Wall-mounted installation in non-explosive, dry and warm environment; power inlet from underneath.
- Power section consisting of:
- Star-delta contactor with protection against power surges (for motors with a power rating of 4 kW and above)
- Power relay with protection against power surges (for motors with a power rating of 4 kW and above)
- Control transformer with primary and secondary fuses
- Transformer with 24 V DC output
- Emergency power switch
- Electronic control consisting of chipset, EPROM and interface (integrated in the unit's electric box)
- Control panel with touchpad, operating hour counter and illuminated liquid crystal display for information on unit status, required servicing and potential errors.
- Paramters monitored by the control unit:
- Minimum and maximum intake pressure
- Intermediate pressures
- Final pressure
- Oil pressure
- Temperature of the final stage's cylinder head
- Temperature of the cooling air
- Power override of the electric motor
- Emergency power-off button
- Setting for the drain interval for the automatic condensate valve
- Cycle counter to determine when the final separator will have to be replaced
- Additional relays and terminals
- Safety bridges for all sensors (galvanic separation)
- The pressure and temperature sensors are ideally fitted on the compressor block.
The power section, alongside the electronic control and display units, is included in a separate electrical box, which can be installed remotely and outside the explosion-safe area.
Thermostats, temperature sensors and pressure gauges are fitted on the compressor block.
