Separator Cartridges - DOM Series - Maintenance & Installation

Maintenance:

The purifier cartridge is designed as a replaceable cartridge and must be changed: With increased differential pressure above 1 bar/14 psi. The visual or electrical contamination indication shows this differential pressure.

• Not later than 12 months operating time. Warranty period ex-factory incl. intermediate storage time on the customer's premises totalling max. 18 months.
• After an exposure time of 2000 operating hours. Under favourable compressor operating conditions, exposure times of 6000 operating hours can be achieved.
• When the intake air is highly contaminated or in the event of unsuitable oil quality, the cartridge will be subjected to greater contamination, which may make an earlier change necessary

Maintenance Procedure:

1. Relieve the separator system totally from pressure.
2. Unscrew the cartridge by turning it to the left with oil filter tool (see drawing).
3. Screw the new cartridge on the fitting by hand without using any tool.
4. Check as to impermeability when the unit is running.
5. Enter in Maintenance Check Sheet.

Installation:

Mount the separator cartridge of the DOM series with a screw-in fitting by hand on the separator head in vertical position. Before assembly, slightly lubricate the rubber seal with a drop of oil. This will make the later removal of the cartridge easier, when replacing it.
Caution: Do not damage the DOM-cartridge during operation. Tighten cartridge until rubber gasket seals well. On the pressure side, an o-ring provides for the sealing.
