BAUER KOMPRESSOREN supports BMW
Report by Meike Carstensen
That BAUER makes compressors and BMW in Munich makes cars is a generally known fact. However the two traditional companies are linked by more than German quality from the capital of Bavaria.
Right at the other end of Germany it has now been proven how good the vehicles from BMW and the compressors from BAUER harmonise in diving: During a presentation of new cars at the Hansa car showroom in the capital of Schleswig-Holstein Kiel BAUER KOMPRESSOREN presented the OCEANUS.
As part of an event for the entire family the BMW X5 was presented as an exclusive vehicle for demanding sports people. Werner Freidling and Stephan Fischer, owner and sales manager of Poseidon Kiel, the northernmost German dealer of BAUER KOMPRESSOREN proved that even complete diving equipment can fit in the X5. They demonstrated that not only a golf bag fits in the car but also a complete sports equipment with weighing up to 555 kilos.
The key to the X5 is the horizontally divided tailgate which is opened downwards and outwards. On the area folded down, the luggage weighing 200 kilos can be placed. There is even an optional retractable loading platform which can bear up to 150 kilos.
This loading platform is optimally suited to hold a transportable compressor such as the JUNIOR, the OCEANUS or even the MARINER. The loading platform is simply pulled out for use and after filling is pushed back in the luggage compartment again.
The visitors at the largest BMW dealer in Schleswig-Holstein were really impressed by the twin pack from Bavaria. Both the X5 with its retractable loading platform as well as the OCEANUS with an air output of 140 litres in the minute at a net weight of only 47 kilos convinced the divers from the Baltic Sea.
